What began as an after-school program in 1986 eventually evolved into a full-on nursery program once founder, Mary…More O'Connell, recognized the neighborhood's need for Junior Wonders Nursery School.</p> <p>Since 1992, Junior Wonders has offered 2, 3 and 4-year-old children half-day morning and afternoon classes in the Community Church of the Pelhams. The staff aims to teach self-expression, body coordination, language skills, sharing and school readiness skills and invites guest speakers throughout the year, like members of the Pelham Police and Fire Departments.</p> <p>Parents get to join in the activities for monthly and seasonal events, including the Halloween Parade and Family Fun Day. </p>
