Though the Pelham Memorial High School has been around since 1930, it wasn't until 2005 that the area's sixth,…More seventh and eighth graders got a building to call their own.</p> <p>Pelham Middle School eases the transition from elementary to high school by offering its students a rigorous academic program, within an intimate and supportive class setting. About 24 teachers make up the major discipline area classes and team-teaching helps foster a close rapport between students and teachers.</p> <p>At PMS, students engage in a host of enriching subjects including the Renaissance, foreign language (Spanish, French, Latin or Italian), art and cross-discipline studies, such as design and engineering in science, math and technology.</p> <p>Students are exposed to multiple uses of technology when they study biotechnology and digital music (among other topics) in the school's new technology suite and have a chance to pursue their passions outside of the classroom when they choose from a hosts of extra-curricular clubs and sports to join.</p>
