Not Your Ordinary Book Club

Pelham Libarary's Book club will resume on Sept. 12th with discussion of "Daughters of the Revolution."

Pelham Library Book Club bills itself as 'A Book Club for All That's Really About Books.' Book clubs have become immensely popular in Pelham and surrounding communities, so maybe you're thinking of joining one. While many of these are invitation-only, and meet at people's homes, one great local option is the Pelham Library's Book Club, which, after a summer hiatus, resumes in September. New members can join at any time.

The Club combines a great list of books for its 2013-14 season with a group of people from a wide variety of experiences and backgrounds, who really love to discuss books. Plus, since meetings -- which are generally on the first Thursday of the month -- are at the Library, you never have to host!

The first meeting of the year is on Thursday, Sept. 12 at 7:30pm, when members will discuss "Daughters of the Revolution" by Carolyn Cooke. The novel is set at a disintegrating New England prep school in 1968.
